>just marathon'd this flick
>wanted to know what /tv/ thinks of it
I assume most everyone here hates it, right? It was one of the worst movies I've recently seen for sure.
>>84375032
It suffered that Nolan effect of being great it some aspect but shit in others
>>84375032
Rewatched a few times last week...Sundance TV...forgot how much of NASA propoganda this is. They keep spewing the "Relativity" junk (which has been debunked) as simple fact. Utter nonsense.

>every character speaks at a barely audible whisper
>every epic moment is so loud my entire room shakes
Watching this just kinda pissed me off
>>84376511
Yeah, the mixing is absolute shit. But that seems pretty standard for Nolan.
>>84375032
>flick

>>84375032
Question: how do you "marathon" one fucking movie?
Are attention spans really that fucking short these days?
>>84375696
>relativity has been debunked
Seriously? When?

Auto correct is a bitch after a few rounds of Moscow Mules.
>>84375032
Why can't Nolan write decent dialogue? It's fucking awful
>>84377777

You I like
>>84375032
It was a great movie that's comparable to Space Odyssey 2001, but let me guess, you hated that one too.
God tier sci fi. I don't care that it's not based in science fact (though god knows it's closer than most sci fi), but the fact that you're even *discussing* whether the science in it is correct, indicates that it's much more science based than most of the genre (most like alien, is so non-scientific, that there would be no question as to whether it's based in truth).
It's a very good movie. I would be inclined to say that if you don't like it, you're just a contrarian faggot that lashes out against anything that's popular.
>>84377743
getting that response is the only reason people do it

>dude how we gon get off Earth bro
>"I got it bro, let's just turn off gravity with an equation from the future and also the past and also love"
>great plan dude
>>84378120
He could swing around that neutron star
It's allegory for the story of Christianity you fucking shit lords.
The earth in the movie is life, everyone is doomed to die at the end and there is no escape. Rust Cohl sacrifices himself to save everyone else. The daughter is the church waiting for Jesus' return and the son is the Jewish people who rejected him. There's a bunch more in there but I'm hella tired
>>84378259
you sound hella tired, go to sleep
>>84376345
Good to see that we still have some true patricians left here.
It's spacekino
>>84376345

>>84378795

>>84375032
no it is pretty great, probably one of nolan's best. Interestingly this movie seems to divide people in two groups. I kinda want to ask OP why he thinks it was shit but i already know the answers.
We had this "discussion" a million times
>>84378259
Don't you dare unironically try and post an analysis for this normie-tier 3 year old movie, everything and anything worth saying about it was trodden to death in the first six months
