Can anyone recommend me some Vietnam war kino?
I've already seen:
>Full Metal Jacket
>Platoon
>Good Morning Vietnam
>We Were Soldiers
>Born on the Fourth of July
Any other good ones out there?
You missed the two best:
>Apocalypse Now
>The Deer Hunter

Apocalypse Now? Deer hunter? Casualties of War? (Great rape scene btw).
I've literally seen all of those you and me mentioned and it took me a fucking second to type in Vietnam movies in google to confirm that they're indeed considered great enough to be instantly recommended to you in a nice fucking chart as first search result.
Nobody's mentioned Coming Home, although that's really the first draft of Born On The 4th Of July if one really thinks about it.
There's also First Blood.
Many might not consider that a Viet Nam War film, but it deals frankly with the subject of forgotten vets and how the tiniest of circumstances can trigger ones PTSD.
And even though this is most certainly NOT a Viet Nam war picture, the part of Forest Gump where he serves his country is pretty good too.
Taxi driver
Rolling thunder
