Anyone else watching the Profiles in History auction? A single behind the scene photograph from Freaks (Tod Browning) just went for $11,000! Hot damn.
Have you ever bid on a movie prop or still?
I wonder who the "young lady" is who is basically winning all the Freaks photos.

I remember seeing this film a few years ago. That manlet breaking down emotionally after being an accomplice to mutilation was pretty sad.

>we will probably never get the original ending where the freaks castrate the strongman
Feels bad man

Them turning Venus into a freak was scary enough. Some of them probably did prison time for that.

They really underestimated the interest in Tod Browning's stuff. Everything is gonig for far higher than the estimates. His custom made folders, estimated at 600-800, just went for $14,000.

I own several props of Harry Houdini's, some posters too, and a few letters exchanged between HH and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

Is that good ol Adolf in the red on the right of the poster?
Behind the scenes photo they sold tonight. Interesting to see her standing.
Love Tod Browning.
