What do you think of this movie?
I found it somewhat entertaining, but was still disappointed. I thought I was gonna really like the movie since I'm into the counterculture of 60s/70s.
But something about the movie prevented me from fully enjoying it, I guess that it didn't really have a plot. I feel the same way about Midnight Cowboy, another supposed classic from the same year.

The plot wasnt the point. Captures a moment in time. The soundtrack is as important as the movie is for that time period.

I did like the soundtrack.
And I enjoyed the time capsule aspect of the movie, but even then I don't think it could do a better job. Like, it doesn't even seem like they have any real conversations, just speak in cliches.
I wonder if any of the rednecks from the diner scene are still alive
Random observation, does anyone else find it interesting that rednecks in the 60s made fun of long hair, but nowadays a lot of rednecks wear their hair long?

Its soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo crazy that trends change over time

yeah but rednecks hating hippies is something that doesn't change
yet modern day rednecks often resemble hippies (long hair, beards, weed smoking)

*even then I think it could do a better job

The sequel was better.

Why does holy woods hate the south eastern US unless it's Florida or New Orleans French Quarter? I would like to see more redneck in my TV diet.

Because rednecks are natural enemies to jews
