It's not like there many jobs these days any way. In some parts, a theatre major has just a chance as getting (any) job as does a engineering major. The playing field has balanced, and everyone is fucked, equally.

>Rushmore, although I think the majority of Wes Anderson's work is quirklord faggotry

There's plenty of engineering jobs relative to theatre jobs. They also pay much more, and even have paid internships. Hell there's so many STEM positions, most companies actively recruit directly from colleges years before the students are even close to graduation and pay them.
These two professions aren't even comparable.

I thought that was a Lord of the Rings poster featuring Sam and Frodo at first.
Whats it like being a bartender guys?
Do you really gotta know how to mix drinks, or is there some kind of manual behind the bar you refer to?
Do people really tell you thier life stories and ask you for advice?

>>84307492
lmao you're not wrong, can't unsee it. It's a great movie though
>>84307510
Yes you've gotta know how to mix drinks. Luckily the most common cocktail orders are fucking easy (mojito, martini, daquiri, margarita, old fashioned etc etc, fucking easy). Most of the time is spent opening and pouring beers and making basic mixes like rum/bourbon and coke and vodka lime soda, which is also fucking easy. The rest of the time is spent keeping shit clean so there isn't often a lot of time to share life stories with customers. It's only if it's really particularly quiet I actually have full conversations with customers. The roughest encounter was a couple I met who had just lost their baby to some rare disease, so they were coming in to get fucked up. I gave them a couple of free drinks and tried my best at advice but I'm a bartender not a goddamn therapist.

Ive never been a therapist bartender....if anything i get asked about myself and my life but I've worked in destination places like Hawaii or New York and people are interested in what life is like there. I've always worked interest traps though so knowledge of really complicated cocktails isn't required just need to know how to sling Mai Tais blue Hawaiians gin and Coke and pour draft beer and you're good . Moneys good though but it's pretty fast-paced and you bust your ass. I took home about a thousand or more a week in Hawaii and maybe 1200 or more in New York
