Whenever I think about this show I always end up landing on thoughts about what would have happened differently if Jesse was killed or fire or left or whatever early in the show.

He just fucks up over and over and it became so insanely tiresome.

That's the really excellent thing about this show and it's writing. You can always think back to some point and go oh what if he had done that instead. There's just too many points to name. So many ways he could've gotten away with it.

The writing of Breaking Bad was hammy-- ridiculously so in the last season-- but it was still an exceptional show in the sea of shit that is contemporary television.

But it started feeling like a lazy easy way to inject drama.

It just kept happening. So of it like the RV key thing or using the bathtub was great and created more entertaining scenes than monotonous ones.

But the situation kept arising where something would be resolved and you'd think "cool I wonder what the next conflict will be" and here comes fucking Jesse.
