How did Cooper's doppelganger "manufacture" a homunculus, Dougie? Was he formed from garmonbozia as an adult man or hatched as a baby and grew up normally? This is like bad Twin Peaks fan fiction. I'm sure Mark Frost was 100% responsible for this concept.

Unless Dougie IS Cooper. Maybe Cooper didn't really physically ooze out of the power socket, and what we saw was a visual metaphor for Cooper's soul returning to his body. But that doesn't really make sense either because there are undeniably two Coopers of flesh walking round, and only one came out of the lodge, so one way or the other, there must have been a physical duplication of some sort.

That kind of sucks. Original Twin Peaks kept things suitably inexplicable, you never knew whether the shit going on in the Lodge was a metaphor for spiritual activity or literally real. Now its all pretty prosaic.

Two came out of the Lodge. Cooper went into the Lodge, I imagine that dopplegangers only exist for people who have gone into the Lodge, so when Cooper went in his doppleganger came into existence. Cooper got trapped and his doppleganger went out and later on created Dougie in some magic fashion I imagine. If Dougie was retarded before than that makes it even easier to believe that he's basically a soul-less vessel.

I binged it all around this time last year just so I could fairly judge it and not be left out of conversations when my pleb friends and coworkers circlejerk about it. It was okay.
