Yes. A little underwhelming in retrospect but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't having fun the whole time. The ending with Alonso was hilarious and horrible at the same time, somehow. I liked Jackie's story, too, and I liked the last one about the Time Agency but I still don't think that that's his real name and hope that it isn't. Watching The Invasion on DVD at the moment, my first time seeing it finally. Fuck the second doctor era is comfy. I love the slower pace of the classics. It makes things feel more eventful. A Cyberman doesn't even appear until the end of the fourth episode.

I really dig the animation on the lost episodes too. Wish they would give this treatment to all the lost stories.

So far my favourite of his is probably The Mind Robber, bought War Games too to watch next. What are your best second doctor stories?

It's not forced just in scenes where Bill is just on a date or something, like in the first two monk episodes, but it is entirely unneccesary in episodes like Eaters of Light and other such situations where they put in someone flirting with Bill just so she can tell them she's a lesbian.

Cybus models and onward are called upgrades for a reason. All jokes aside, they have thicker armor and stronger weaponry. Unless the Mondasians had numbers or a very intimate understanding of Cybus systems, they would have absolutely no chance.
And, barring all of that, why would they even attack? Assuming both have the same imperatives — to upgrade themselves beyond human sin and weakness — the Mondasian's first act would be to submit to a better upgrade.

The cracks in time especially feel like a big 'fuck you' to me. Alien invasions not having an impact on modern day Earth has always been a problem with Who, but after Journey's End it looked like that trend might change, given that that Dalek invasion was referenced in Waters of Mars and Children of Earth. But no, Moffat just handwaves it away and the status quo is restored. One of the reasons I liked Parting of the Ways so much is that it was able to present a horrifying Dalek invasion of Earth, but put it in the far future so as to explain the lack of impact on regular life.
