The more I rewatch Tarkovsky movies and watch for the first time the ones I haven't yet they're just pretty slow and plodding and something like the Sacrifice which I just watched recently was a pretty tough watch. People say this about Kubrick occasionally but they're on different levels in this way I think and I've never felt the same way about Kubrick's movies.
