Thoughts on this film? I thought it was fucking great, I haven't

I don't want to rain on anyone's parade but I thought this film was the definition of Oscar bait. The acting was solid, the sets and costumes were well made and the visual effects were fine but the script felt like a checklist of cliches. When I walked out of the theater I thought "that was okay" but the more I've thought about it the more annoyed I've become with the writing. I doubt I'll ever re-watch it. 5/10

Fair enough, I didn't like it but I didn't loathe it either. I can see why someone would like it, it's a well made film but it didn't do anything for me.
