So I just watched BvS for the first time. Normally I don't bother with capeshit but with Batman I make an exception.
How exactly Is Bruce Wayne supposed to form the Justice League with adead Superman?
Also why is this film panned so much? The only bad thing I could find out about it was Adam Zuckerberg or whatever the fuck his name is as Lex Luthor.

The main reason it got such negative reviews was cognitive dissonance("cape" movies must adhere to genre tropes, apparently) and butt hurt media types sandy about how their profession was portrayed.

It was panned because it was a mess. I enjoyed it for the most part, but it was a mess and plagued by two bad villains and the lack of a main protagonist. It was unfocused and throwing too much at the wall, while they did bring up some interesting ideas surrounding the nature of being a godlike superhero, there was no payoff to any of it, so as a whole the film just suffered from the distractions.

The theatrical edition was a pacing and editing mess.
The Directors cut would have reviewed better because it fixes the story flow and editing, but would still be divisive for it's nihilistic themes, attacks on the media, and overall not adhering to conventional blockbuster idioms
