Do you ever write yourself into a show you're really into?

Do you ever write yourself into a show you're really into? Like you're some smooth-talking Chad, or a brainy hacker/scientist/etc., or an anti-hero who's the one in the know? I mean any kind of character really, but always one with lore importance?

I think it's pretty cringy that I do it, but I don't ever hold this head canon to be anywhere near the canonical lore's status, nor do I let it affect my interpretations of the show just a fun way of working my self into the world of the show.
