Kylo Ren sneaks into Corusant and completes the 20 year long project. Rey finds out her backstory (you've been made to beat Snoke, Ben Solo was supposed to do that but he got seduced by evil. Don't get seduced, please!). Luke and Rey go to confront Snoke. They fail miserably, Snoke nearly seduces Rey to be evil. Ultimately Rey feels betrayed and useless. Rey abandons Luke (captured by Snoke) to wander alone. Movie climaxes with a new conflict emerging when the First Order enacts the destruction of Corusant via The Starkiller. Kylo Ren watches his home planet blown up and knows he killed his mother, can't stand it anymore. He steals a crucial piece of the Starkiller, confronts Snoke (tells him to fuck off), and escapes into space.

>First Order engages in war of terrorism on the New Republic. Everyone scared to go anywhere, lockdowns are the norm. Population centers are bombed daily from First Order agents. Finn helps remaining Republic leaders desperately find a way to combat the First Order.
Rey has been wandering the galaxy to find some new purpose/develop her force abilities. She gets captured by the Knights of Ren who take her to Kylo Ren. He tells his intentions to defeat Snoke and destroy the First Order. Snoke plans to transmit Luke's execution to the whole Republic to shatter their hopes. Everything is time sensitive, since the Starkiller is expected to be operational soon. Kylo Ren and his knights (along with a regiment from the First Order) have taken another star harvester to turn it into their own Starkiller. They offer this weapon to the Republic. Meanwhile Snoke is trying to communicate to Rey to kill everyone and become a Sith to create her own destiny. She snaps and almost does, nearly goes insane from overwhelming power. Eventually she has a meditation experience and encounters countless Jedi before her, telling her the wisdom of Jedi. She meets an ancient Jedi, a Jedi of a great war, and most importantly Anakin who personally knows her struggle. She reaches an epiphany and goes to save Luke. Movie climaxes when the Republic, led by Finn, and Kylo Ren's forces attack the First Order and the Starkiller. The Republic's star harvester becomes operational (given the name of something corny like The New Hope) and blasts the Starkiller into oblivion. Rey, Kylo Ren, and his knights go in to save Luke and fight Snoke. Snoke kills knights but loses to Rey and Finn. Then he uses his power to break apart the ceiling to kill everyone, Luke uses his powers to save Rey and Kylo Ren.

>The temple collapses, Snoke and Luke die, and The First Order is destroyed entirely. Finn, Rey, and Kylo Ren (now calling himself Ben Solo again) are praised as heroes.
