You have to do it for years, though, and it's expensive. It also does not make the allergies disappear completely, usually, but it does greatly lessen their severity. Also if you stop the allergies may come back a bit but most likely not as strong as they were before shots.

Overall it's a pretty big undertaking. Know this from experience with very bad dust allergies, not cats.
