So what's the best TV drama after these three?
We can all agree these are often referred to as the Big Three, even if we don't particularly agree with this view, so let's ignore them and this fight for a while. Let's think about other shows.
I'm watching Mad Men right now (season 2). It's good but up until now it pales in comparison with the Big Three. People always say it's right up there but I'm not feeling it yet. Should I continue or what other show should I watch instead?
Shameless bump.

Breaking Bad absolutely does not belong.
Quality? The Shield
Cultural significance? Mad Men
Heart? Six Feet Under
Characters? Deadwood
On and on it goes

Good list. Thanks, based anon!
The Shield for me.
That show never failed to surprise me. The Sopranos is a much better show overall, but i don't know, something about Mackey and Co. just did it for me.

What was the cultural significance of Mad Men?

Fargo is my favorite show. Everyone seems to disagree what the best season is, which I think is interesting. I don't think it's universally loved enough to be up there with The Wire and Sopranos though.
Deadwood or True Detective maybe

BrBa isn't in the same league, you raging pleb. That said, Sopranos is also an order of magnitude better than le Wire.

This. Also, Quarry was fucking great.
I've only just started watching The Wire, and after 4 episodes I'm absolutely hooked. I can see why it's GOAT.

Sopranos is overrated shit. It's a soap opera for men.

nobody asked, virgin

It's not me saying. It's a consensus that these three are the Big Three.
