My personal favorite is Virgil's. Bundaberg is pretty great, too, but has a stronger licorice taste, which can be offputting if you don't like that. Hank's root beer is good, too, but hard to find.

Virgil's can be found in many retail stores. You may come across other brands you want to try. Check the ingredients and see if it actually lists things like sarsaparilla root, wintergreen, anise, etc, instead of just "natural and artificial flavors"
