I think that's over-dramatic. What it is is you are getting old enough now to see what is popular in the media repeat itself. Then it gets cut off when you get older enough to see it cycle back around to the beginning.

I didn't have an internet connection at my apartment for two weeks and I can't stand phoneposting so I spent virtually no time on 4chan. You're also going through a transitional stage into adulthood and maturity, which is stressful and confusing enough on its own, but when put up against those expectations it creates a strange anomaly.

The quarter-life crisis is made up of two conflicting feelings:

- I'm getting older, I should start doing more "adult" things soon, and I should stop being interested in childish things.

- I'm already older than your average silicon valley billionare, but I still watch cartoons, smoke weed and work a shitty temp job in my early 20s, there must be something wrong with me!

tl;dr - Unless you're in your mid 40s you shouldn't feel old or feel like you've wasted your life and can't change, because you STILL aren't supposed to be an adult yet. Just chill out nigga.
