Watched Logan while high, actually really made me grounded and cynical about it for some reason. Eh, the truth is in the middle, it doesn't make you a retard but it doesn't make you smarter either, it just alters your perspective drastically, and your perception of time, you do notice things you normally don't, but not always things you want to notice. I like listening to music when high because it both enchanes it dramatically and also makes songs sound waaay longer, a 3 minute song feels like 7-8 minutes, a 5 minute song feels like a whole journey, it also gives me much stronger mental images when I close my eyes, and brings back memories and sensations from when I was young. Weed makes the world feel big again, and full of wonder and potential.

It also ruins any and all immersion with live action shows or movies, when I'm high I analyze things way more and can't get into it, I don't see "middle earth" I see "Elijah wood pretending to be a hobbit". It also makes me very anxious and self conscious and ruins my ability to socialize comfortably, makes me awkward as fuck and I can't look in a mirror without feeling bad.

At the end of the day weed is just a drug, and not a very special one. If you want some next level shit, you could try LSD, but even that's still just a drug. I imagine I'll feel the same if I ever try DMT, but we'll see.

The key is to drink after you smoke, or just only smoke a little. I still get a bit anxious, but I can usually take the edge off by drinking a beer or two, or just smoking a little bit at a time over the course of an hour instead of just smoking a whole bowl in one sitting.
