Bullets ranging from 9mm, 380 and similar sizes get stuck in the head. A regular firearm/revolver makes the bullet (that reaches terminal velocity almost instantly, considering when you suicide you put the gun right next to your head) stay there, after breaking the stronger part which is the skull, it loses a lot of velocity and by the time it croses the hypothalamus it either breaks into small pieces or stays there.
