Just finished watching the second one again. What does /tv/ think

They are fun.

Only one worth a shit is the second, and even that one shit the bed in the last twenty minutes. The Purge series is a great "what if?" scenario for movies, but the only thing audiences want to see is what people actually do out in the purge. No one wants the home invasion story of the first, or the political thriller of the third.

I like em it's a fun idea and there's a lot you can do with them. I can see this turning out to be a really good franchise. There's more you can do with it then become repetitive like the saw movies or old slasher movies

Solid premise but the execution is always fucking lacking.
It had potential until the second one started delving into politics leading to the third one becoming full-on liberal propaganda.

Fortunately that one bombed, and now the franchise is spared from further ruin.
