Name me some modern action/martial art kino pls
I enjoyed The Raid films and Headshot was ok.
Banshee (tv series) was good, even though the sfx were subpar when they had them.
Chocolate, if you're a big fan of other martial arts movies. It's good, but basically "look, that's the moves from movie X!" as far as plot goes. Fuck, watch all Panna Ritikrai (RIP) choregraphed movies. They're all good.
The Rebel (Viet movie with based Johnny Nguyen)
Ip Man (a little too wire-fu for my personal taste, but there isn't too much of that in it)
Thai have usually good MA movies, but they like to put some aweful cgi scenes in them for some reason (not in the fights themselves, thankfully).
Vietnam doesn't have that many, and about half of them are average with good individual fight scenes, the other half are good.
Japan isn't good at them. Not recently, anyway.
Tom Yum Goong (aka The Protector)

Based Panna.
This reminds me, his choragraphy saved the aweful superhero movie Mercury Man.

Not his best work as far as fight scenes go, but with what he had to work with? It's a miracle it's even watchable.

This meme needs to die. No Tears For The Dead was objectively better in every way. Also Jang Dong-gun> Some boyband looking twink.
