I truly think that the Coen Bros. have one of the best oeuvres of the past century, but I really didn't get much out of this film other than a few chuckles. What did you think /tv/?

By far, their worst film.
I haven't seen it yet. I always watch Coen movies twice because I tend to like it better the second time. I disliked Big Lebowski the first time I watched it because it felt so unsatisfying. Don't know if anyone felt the same.

What I'm trying to say is that maybe it's better on a second viewing.

This.
It just seemed to lack the humor and intrigue that their other film s have. I hope they can bounce back.

They already did a much better film about Hollywood with Barton Fink. I mean it's not terrible but it just feels so empty and unsubstantial.
Not funny enough to be a comedy, not focused enough to be a drama, not creative enough to be an art film. So boring at times you forget you're watching a movie. Over all, pretty bad.

Ya know, that's a pretty good point. I thought Lebowski was just okay first time around but now obviously I fucking love it. Will watch again and report back.
worst film ive ever seen in the cinema
people were literally saying out loud "this is shit, shall we go?"
I think I'm one of the only ones who thought it was pretty good
Probably their weakest but I thoroughly liked it

>people were literally saying out loud "this is shit, shall we go?"
Do they really do this in America?
It had its funny moments but I'll give it a thumbs down.
This is coming from a huge Coen bros fan.
Blood Simple, Fargo, Raising Arizona, The Big Lebowski are some of my favorite movies of all time.
