FMG/SWG Do you color grade, direct, edit, light, shoot, cate

Haven't directed anything recently sadly.

Been gaffering a lot recently, even on some biggish, but still low-budget, productions (up to £8k). Kind of a shame though because I only really care about writing/directing.

Most recent thing I directed was four months ago and looking back on it now I can really see how flawed it is. It would be very different were I making it today.

Well right off the bat I would have axed the introdoctory scrawl or at the very least minimised it. I would have also forgone shooting true anamorphic and just cropped in post because I feel that the added complication of shooting anamorphic meant much less time to get the setups we needed and so certain things don't edit together very smoothly. The section taking place in the void should have either been two singles or two dirty singles, not one of each. I feel like I would have directed the actors to more nuanced performances as well. Some of the composition was pretty poor in the green-universe because I opted to spend time with the actors rather than remain on set with camera-dept.
