kinda pissed these three came out the same year
any other recent oscars they all would've swept
glad the academy recognized them all tho

Gosling absolutely would have won best actor if La La Land came out a year earlier. He was so good that he would beat the meme magic behind Leo, who frankly deserves the win, but his competition was really weak and doesnt even come close to the performances of the 2017 nominations.
I genuinely believe La La Land and Moonlight would have broken the 11 awards record if they were each released in separate years as well.
Manchester by the sea would probably do about as well in any other year as it did in the year it was released. In all scenarios though it still gets robbed of best picture.

I appreciate all three of these films.
I don't much like musicals but Gosling is a class act. I liked Moonlight a lot, the camera and sound work were brilliant. I thought Manchester was a mostly miserable (emotionally) and I can't say I enjoyed watching it.
All three were memorable though and better than most of the oscar trash that gets shoved in front of the academy every year
I still cant believe people unironically watched a flick about gay niggers produced by jews
Fourth reich when

I watched and enjoyed it. Also I'm gay, black, and liberal.
