What genre do you miss the most /tv/? For me it's gritty 70's crime films.

Non-capeshit action flicks.
Every fucking action flick has awful improv quips or that terrible "awkward" humor now. Villains are there to bitch, kill one person, and then get smashed with no difficulty by the absurdly overpowered hero. Especially after 70% of the movie is getting the hero to the point that he can actually fucking do things instead of mumbling and bitching about their boring fucking problems.
Nothing has stakes. Nobody who matters gets killed. No one has to think anymore.

I remember when capeshit was a rare occurrence. When I was actually excited to see a big-budget spiderman/iron man movie. Now there is one out every month. I honestly don't understand how the law of diminishing returns hasn't taken effect among kinopatrons, especially how fucking paint by numbers they've been. Like, how do they keep getting made? At least with horror there is shock value and twists on occasion to keep it somewhat fresh.
