Actually, it's a
>car crash out of nowhere!
episode. Well, unless you count the scene at the oil well as foreshadowing. Which you should, because they wouldn't have shown it if it didn't mean something.

I am rooting for Howard. I'm not sure to what end, but I hope he's alright.
>>
i like howard because he tells it like it is
>>
>>83870373
He was too hasty trying to cuck chuck into retirement.

At that level of politics, its tantamount to walking into the room and yelling fuck off to his partner.

If he wanted to be diplomatic, he should have suggested it much slowly over time.
>>
Who here feels bad for Irene? She really got cucked
>>
>>83870610

Accommodating Chuck has been his mistake from the start. Kim was totally right about that.

I think he just had enough and Chuck's bullshit. If he had put his foot down after the Mesa Verde fiasco, he wouldn't be in the current situation.
>>
Why the fuck is Kim working so hard, she's doing fine with other clients and she's not paying for Jimmie's office?
>>
>>83870610
nah he is a weakling who did not deal well at all with the CUK
>>
>>83870697

Guilt, "if I do all this work I won't feel like such a shitty person for the things I did." same reason she purposely sabotaged one of her documents.

What document did she sabotage?

Revenge when?
>>
>>83870747

>She didn't do anything bad

Maybe but she still feels guilty about it, and there's an episode where she's typing out a document and thinking about putting an error on purpose as if to balance the scales like what Jimmy did to Chuck.
>>
>>83870747
She felt bad for the bar hearing where chuck got cucked
>>
>>83870584
Chuck is gonna fuck HHM so hard that they won't be able to pay Jimmy for the settlement.
>>
>>83870544
kek I read this 1 sec before it happened on my other monitor lol
>>
>>83870793

She didn't do anything wrong legally, but she flat-out lied in court about Jimmy messing with the documents. Sure, you could say it's just what defense lawyers do, but that's no different than saying the cartel guys are just doing what they do.

>>83870823
I could see that happening. Then Jimmy burns Chuck's house down and he dies and it looks like an accident.

Or maybe Howard breaks bad and does it.
>>
>>83870950
>but she flat-out lied in court about Jimmy
It's not lying when you think it's the truth.
>>
>>83870979

In case you didn't notice, Kim is well aware Jimmy fucked with those documents and went to the house with the sole intention of destroying the tape.
>>
IRENE DID NOTHING WRONG
>>
>>83871017
Where does the show indicate that?
She trusts Jimmy more than she should.
>>
>>83871042
In the scene where Jimmy tells her in season 2 and then later on ehere they're lying in bed together in silence and then she says maker sure he never finds out.
>>
>>83870612
they did a good job making it feel like a middle school girl-bully story. I guess it reminds you that people always suck even when they're old
>>
>>83870823
That's not how it works.
Jimmy will get paid regardless of HHM's situation. Remember that Davis & Main is working this case too
>>
>>83871041
Who /irene/ here
>>
>>83871041
Felt really bad for the old lady. Looks a lot like my own grandma. Fuck Jimmy.
>>
>>83871042

Are you kidding?

>doesn't want jimmy to talk about the papers
>it's proven he screwed with them via the tape
>after she makes him aware of the tape, he goes over to his house and is arrested

She knows full-well what went down. That's why she feels guilty.
>>
hate to admit but Howard knows it all
>>
>>83871139
Irene will move to the same home Hector lived in after she loses her friends, then gets blown up by the Gus explosion.
Jimmy you ass
>>
>>83871151
No but seriously there's a scene in season 2 where he tells her.
>>
>>83871076
What episode? I must have completely forgotten that if true.

>>83871151
Jimmy trying to make him feel better and then destroys it just because of outrage over his betrayal is a plausible enough story.
>>
>>83871160
Wtf, I hate jimmy now
>>
>>83871152
I hope Howard becomes this show's Rickety Cricket.
>>
>>83870672
Looking after chuck was fine. Pretending nothing had happened to him was the mistake. It helps company image to pretend he's fine but it's an obvious risk and dishonest.
>>
>>83870373
I can't think of a single noble thing Howard has done
also he talks with the cadence of a boyfucker
>>
>>83871198

>Jimmy trying to make him feel better and then destroys it just because of outrage over his betrayal is a plausible enough story.

No, it really isn't.
>>
>>83871284
But it is.

I'd buy that story if I knew how crazy and obsessive Chuck is.
>>
>>83871266

I don't mean that. I meant after Jimmy fucked the documents and Howard went along with Chuck's plan despite knowing it was nothing but punitive and about Chuck/Jimmy, not HHM.

He should have just said no. No to the PIs and no to the whole deal, but he helped Chuck. For his trouble, the first got embarrassed and now he has the insurance issue to deal with.
>>
>>83870823
If Chuck terminates HHM as a partner they would need to liquidate all their debts first.

>>83871282
He was nice with Jimmy.
>>
>>83871319

You're an idiot. Kim isn't.

We know she knows he did it because she refuses to let him talk to her about it because she knows it would get her in trouble.
>>
>>83871282
Howard acts in a reactionary manner to the idiots around him.

Any good tactician would do the same.
>>
HMM will be fine cause Chuck will die in a fire in his house in the last episode "Lantern"
>>
>>83870793
>there's an episode where she's typing out a document and thinking about putting an error on purpose
You mean when she can't decide if she wants to put in a period or a semi-colon or something? That wasn't an error, she was just overly worried about the document not being perfect. It doesn't matter much which punctuation she goes with, she was just obsessing over something that wasn't important.
>>
I really want to play bingo now
>>
>>83871397

It was also a reference to Vince's X-Files days.

In one of the podcasts, he told the story of Carter, Shiban and himself debating over the same punctuation.
>>
>>83871505
And it wants to play you...
>>
>>83870612
I was afraid something really bad was going to happen, like Irene would have a heart attack and die while her friends were all inexplicably turned against her.
>>
I WANT MY KIMFU RIGHT NOW
>>
For some reason, i have an urge to lick those bingo dabbers.

>>
>>83871646
You're on 4chins, there's a lot wrong with you.
>>
>>83871646
If you have to ask...
>>
So why did Jimmy tell the insurance lady about Chuck's condition a few episodes back? It probably wasn't simply just to fuck over Chuck he must have known that would fuck HMM over as a whole
>>
>>83870544
There's also the foreshadowing from a few episodes back where she gets five minutes of sleep in the parking lot just before going to meet Mesa Verde.
>>
She totaled her car while on a 1216 Rosella Drive when she should have been 1261
>>
>>83871760
yes, i guess he wanted to fuck them both
>>

>>
>>83870544

of course it was foreshadowing.

she nearly crashes directly into an oil well which might have ended in her fiery death and it takes her 2 seconds to go back to matter of factly recording meeting notes.
>>

>>
>>83870950

she wasn't under oath. you're not "lying" when you're merely trying to defend your client. plenty of defense lawyers are aware of their clients guilt but are still trying to give them the best possible defense they can. that's how the system works.
>>
>>83872408

It's a shame you can't read and actually understand things.

That is exactly what I said.
>>
Would you be mean to old people like Jimmy was if you knew million dollars was waiting for you at the end of it?
>>
>>83871397

thanks for clarifying this. i tried thinking back to what he could possibly be referring to and couldn't remember it but i forgot that the majority of the people that are on /tv/ in 2017 are morons.
>>
>>83872472

Not really. I'd get a job and bide my time until the $1M+ payday roles in a year or so.

Jimmy is only having problems because he refuses to do anything by the book.
>>
>>83872408

you said she "flat out lied" which is retarded. you're not lying when you're defending your client.

also comparing it to the cartels is just stupid. you think defense lawyers shouldn't be able to defend clients if they think they might be guilty or even know for a fact they're guilty?
>>
>>83870373
I think he will actually prevail and the mcgills will, dare I say it, break bad
>>
>>83872521
To be fair he can't really afford to wait and has no real skills other than lawyering and low-tier office work. He has no references that don't hate him and a record for shitting in a sunroof (and maybe the chuck thing I don't know if that would show up on a background check while it's still active). The best he could really do is MAYBE $15/hr (it's what 2005 or so?) which wouldn't be able to pay for the office/rent/his apparently giant mistrial insurance premiums even if he hit overtime.

Yes. Yes, it is.

Yes, they should be able to defend they're clients. That doesn't change the fact that they lie to do so and some, like Kim, feel guilty about it.
>>
>>83872603

He could afford to wait if he let the office go.

What's more, he has ridiculous people skills and can sell near anything. He'd have no problem getting sales work.

If the sunroof thing was a major issue, he probably wouldn't have been admitted. It's no felony and we can guess Chuck got the sex offender charge dropped.

Jimmy's problems are of his own creation.
>>
Irene gonna cancel the lawsuit to get her friends back.
Chuck gonna get counter-fucked by HHM and go bankrupt
Jimmy will get no inheritance from Chuck & no payout
>>
>>83872877
Why would Irene not just cash out like her friends want her to? I'm with you that HHM is about to implode and Jimmy gets nothing, but the whole reason Irene is in the doghouse is because her friends want the money and she's keeping it from them so her abandoning the lawsuit and losing all that money for her friends would be a completely retarded move on her part.

This episode especially seemed to be the pride episode that goes before whatever terrible fall the showrunners have in store for the finale.

Chuck's pride in his mastery of the law, Kim's in her ability to work tirelessly, Jimmy's in his ability to manipulate others, and Mike's in his ability to stay above it all; only Nacho seemed to know and come to terms with what he couldn't control, sacrificing the very thing he was trying to protect when his plans for Salamanca didn't get the desired result.

can you even "drop" a class action suit like that, as a single person?
The offer is literally on the table, one grandma cant just go to the judge and be like "ah fuck it m8 we done here" and the lawyers wont let her do that since they work "for free" at the moment.
Even if she had the power to just drop the whole thing for everyone, she would owe the lawyers millions.

Jimmy made them greedy when they were okay with waiting for the money. At that age you are mostly collecting money to pass on to your children/grandchildren, so the payout would have probably gone to them. I think they would have been fine with that.

Chuck's house will burn down in a fire next episode screenshot this post or die in 7 days.
>>
>>83870373
I feel worse for Howard than Kim to be honest at this point.

Kim's accident is the result of her taking more work that she didn't need and killing herself on the job for no reason.

Howard is trying his best to keep the firm afloat after taking a huge PR hit (one of the senior partner being retarded) and now a financial hit (the insurance) which could be resolved but Chuck doesn't want to.

He's trying to do whats best for the firm but he's stuck in a battle between 2 stubborn brothers that might very well cost him everything.

He didn't deserve any of that. And I don't see a bright future, how could it even work.

>tfw Kim dies and Howard kills himself in last episode.
>>
Predictions:

>Kim's career falls apart. In the middle of her downfall she finds out what Jimmy did to Irene and it disgusts her so much she leaves him for good.
>Chuck overexerts himself and dies. But he won't die in a fire, the lantern is a red herring.
>all of this leads to Jimmy fully becoming Saul Goodman.
>>
>>83879641
>Kim's career falls
Kevin thinks she's the fucking messiah I don't see him firing her over messing up someone else's stuff... He would realize that there's a limit even Kim can do, so he'd stop shoving clients her way, but why would he not want to keep her for Mesa Verde? The way he talks about her (to her and to others) she's an hardworking fucking genius. Would be stupid to let her go.

What if Howard kills him to save his firm?
He's running short of options.
-Can't force him off (getting sued)
-Can't pay him off (no money)
-Can't pay the insurances for everyone ("")
-Can't have someone 'babysit' Chuck (he wouldn't accept it anyway)
And suing the insurance company...well after the big PR disaster I think they have too much on their plate for that.

1st season we think he's a douche for not giving Jimmy a chance, even when he got them a huge lawsuit case.

But then we learn it wasn't ever Howard, it was chuck. So the entire first season was just misleading.

For most of the second season we think he's alright, in views of that revelation. It just got back to that when Jimmy fucked him up bad and abused the law and made his firm look terrible.

Hollywood tards have been "normalizing", as the SJWs would say, women being catty/vicious/bitches for decades, mostly because cheap way to get laughs or drama or headshakes without backlash from a man mistreating a woman, now more as a way of life and because the people in charge now grew up in a social atmosphere that expected that because of too much television.

There's still that whole bit about how if he acknowledges that chuck is never going to bit fit to work ever again he'll lose his cushy partner position at a law firm built by chuck's reputation, thus guaranteeing he'll never have to actually work.

So no matter what happens, hes sanctimonious and opportunistic.

What ultimately happens I think is that Jimmy wins at the end by keeping the good will of the public and his clients and a serious chunk of money. He does ultimately convince Francesca to work for him.

But it comes at a cost. He loses Kim. And the best way to do that is if Kim leaves and they don't just write her off by killing her.

I hope nobody among the main cast fucking dies in this show. Everyone has to live. Nacho, Kim, Howard, Chuck - everyone has to make it out of this.

getting creative in this context means making use of legal resources in smart ways
Kim is creative, look at her solution for the Oil Company. It's what you pay a lawyer for.

You settle the dispute, you drop the case. You drop the charges. You settle out of court. Capisce?

>Kim walks into the same store Cuck tried to shop at

why is it so hot to picture her humiliated and embarrassed like this?
I like her so much, but at the same time...

I was really impressed at the whole concept behind all this and how it reflected things Saul does in the future.

I felt sorry for Irene but the thing was, Jimmy was manipulating people to embrace their darker side. At no point did any of them express their concerns with Irene at all before treating her like shit. They could have easily talked to Irene and just felt that Jimmy was mistaken. They were just shit to begin with and if they were good people, they wouldn't let a horrible person convince them to be as horrible as they were.

It was like that with Jesse's parents. Saul knew they did not disclose that the house was once a meth lab and he fucked them over for it. It was like that with the "squat cobbler" incident where he convinced impressionable police that this man here was way more filthier than they could imagine but not in a way that was illegal.

I really like all this. It's a dishonest man trying to be honest and when he reaches out it gets swatted away by dishonest people. And when that happens he shows them what a real dishonest man is like. I do like that they purposely inject these moments into the story where people genuinely act kindly to Jimmy; I like that he is occasionally reminded that there are kind people like Kim or his film crew's makeup girl or Mike.
>>

are you forgetting, somehow, that the show is an origin story for a criminal working as a lawyer?

Exactly. I like that that is the core mechanism that Jimmy works on.

I like women being embarrassed because it feels vulnerable which is closely associated with intimacy, emotionally. It's part of the reason I'm such a massive pissfag. If I didn't like her, I wouldn't be so interested in seeing her losing control or "in a compromised state". It's not an antagonistic feel, though that can sometimes be hot too.

>>83883041
She hadn't originally but the canon is now revised.
>Kim bunches up her shoulders, sighs, relaxes, shakes her head a bit, and follows
>from behind the camera space Kim was occupying we see the older woman looking a little amused at the exchange and raising a brow as she turns back to her magazine or various other non-productive on-the-clock activity
>camera follows Kim and pans a little low showing us a tiny three-frame moment of seeing a hint of a wet spot between her legs as her buttocks shift, revealing that the situation caused her to nervous-leak a little and a little more leaked out when she took a deep breath
>cut to 23-minute scene of Mike using a multimeter and eventually a wirecutter on a payphone's internals for reasons left unclear
...
>cuts back to the girl talking about one product vs the other lifting one than the other in her hand
>"This one is more convenient for a better range of motion, less noticeable, less leaks, but this one is more for..."
>gives Kim momentary meaningful glance before resuming saleswoman professionalism
>"...greater absorbency. We also have a maximum absorbency..."
>reaching down to shelf
>Kim cuts her off curtly
>"I'll take it, that one."
>"Sorry, which?"
>Kim sighs, closing her eyes, and snaps them open again "Maximum absorbency, I'll take them"
>looks back away from the camera where some miscellaneous woman is doing some shopping and sort of has stopped leaning on her cart and listening to them
>woman looks away and pretends to move on
>"Yes, I'll take these, thanks for your help, and do you have..."
>"Yes?"
>sighs again, gestures weakly
>"...a bathroom?"

Makes you think is Jimmy is the Devil?...Sure he manipulates but in the end it's whoever he's twisting to his will that decides their fate and those around them free will and all. Even when Irene asks Jimmy what he would do and he responds with do what your hearts tells you to do. He does not come out with "do this or do that".

I love the very concept of an Howard. Just the imagination of an ultra professional aryan type guy in a suit walking through his daily life and truthbombing the shit out of people nearly breaking their jaws in their disbelief. While still maintaining composure and being 100% accurate at the same time. This guy speedblitzes into Jimmy calls his shit in half a second of hearing him out and leaves just as fast with the elevator.

I might not have time until later tonight because I have to go to some social thing, but whenever I get back I'll link them together a bit and maybe start a saga to annoy BCS threads with, the 2000-character limit is murder.

>extended and completely non-erotic Mike scenes
It's just "thread-related banter" if I put a joke related to these threads at the end :^)
Glad Kim's mannerisms seem convincing, it's more satisfying if it's like something that could be an actual scene/subplot, even if thinly veiled.

Since you like the Mike bit let me write up a short bit I was just thinking of with the remaining character limit:
>Kim is chasing down some bit of evidence on some company that's messing with the bank
>has to talk to employees of four different stores around the ABQ
>gets the first two done in decent order and drives to the plaza where the next two both are
>third one makes her wait to see a manager despite her saying she only needs to ask a few simple questions, she's then waiting for him to get off the phone in a little office antechamber bobbing her (sockless) high-heeled foot with crossed legs and squirming around slightly
>water cooler thing bubbles and she bites then purses her lips and recrosses her legs the other way
>long drawn-out conversation that turns out to give her nothing useful from the boss
>running across the large parking plaza with hands down/out for balance in typical running-in-heels fashion muttering "oh oh oh oh oh" under her breath with each stride
>has to go down a little thing of concrete stairs to get to other half of plaza
>"oh oh oh oh oh!"
>stops on last step, grabs handrail, leans over it, gritting her teeth and crossing one leg around other, sucking breath in through teeth
>purses lips, thinking...darts between two nearest cars, hands going to hips to pull down skirt
>cut to 13 minute scene of Mike gratuitously pressure-washing an empty parking lot, starting with a quick closeup of the water blasting the pavement

The oil field scene was a metaphor for things getting out of control. She had a problem, she was determined to fix it, she knew what to do yet trying to do it caused things to get out of hand and nearly ruin relations with her new client. Most importantly she was trying to do it alone. If someone else had been there to either tow her out or at least push while she sat in the car, it would have been okay.

She's trying to take on two big clients at once, even though she has a good idea on how to solve the problem, it's going to be more than she can handle by herself.
>>
>>83870697

She took the case after the restaurant scuffle with Howard. She feels like she has something to prove in showing her original client that she's superwoman, because she has feelings of inadequacy. Also wanting to fill her time with work to take away from the thoughts of guilt over the Chuck hearing.
