They do. I've had plenty of 3 day bans from /tv/ for checking dubs. Gives me a chance to see what /b/ has been up to, and shitpost on /an/.
But admit it, if you got banned for shitposting on /tv/ you're not going to contribute shit anywhere else on the site.
