What I love the most about the Wire are the characters. They're all flawed and feel like actual human beings, just take a look at McNulty's IKEA scene and D' wanting to change his ways. Once I finished season 5 this show created a void that's likely not to be filled ever again, but shows like Generation Kill, Mad Men, The Sopranos and Deadwood came close, but not close enough.
