Mean Girls was on the way to being considered a classic movie but then Lindsay Lohan just got more and more nuts every year, and I think it kind of tainted the movie's legacy a bit. I don't really hear it talked about as much.

Doesn't help that the rest of the cast hasn't left much of an impact either. Amanda Seyfried is just kind of on the fringes of stardom, making crap romantic comedies. Rachel McAdams really didn't do much up until True Detective, which was considered shit. And obviously Lacey Chabert does nothing but make like shitty Lifetime movies.

At least with Breakfast Club, other than Judd Nelson, you could point to multiple successful movies that all the main stars were in that made them all more memorable.
