Is professional movie criticism now officially in the dust? Only a few of the old guard are still around, and you never see their reviews on RottenTomatoes. And what makes it so horrifying is how RT is the largest metric these days for movie scores, studios will brag about RT scores, and yet every fucking reviewer on RT are social justice faggots doing their 1984-esque circlejerks who were failures at real journalism.

Ebert was one of my favorite reviewers, and what I respected about him the most was that, even when you disagreed with him, he at least explained why he felt the way he did, negative or positive, about the film, and you could always tell when he was talking about his subjective feelings on a subject, or his objective analysis. Compare that to a transgendder college dropout on buzzfeed who now gets the top "professional" spot at the top of a RT movie reviews page, and we are fucking doomed.
