my first viewing of the force awakens. i liked it a little more on the second attempt, but at first i couldn't get over how it was just a shitty soft reboot new hope ripoff disguised as the next chapter in the saga. so much forced humor. a truly soulless cash grab of a movie. actually, i think still fucking hate most of it.

patricians realize exactly what its going for; style over substance, and can see that the seemingly abhorrent scenary chewing and bland plot tie into this.
