It's so Fucking hard for me to take Season 5 of OitNB seriously.
>All these former combat soldiers getting subdued by female inmates.

>Multiple opportunities for the guards to escape, especially when it was just the two tired ass Dominicans guarding them.
>P guard captain dude going rogue then getting subdued.

>All these gone hippy inmates hanging out in the yard which is easily accessible from the outside as shown in the season finale where they all went swimming because the contractors cut the fence open with no gaurds.
The show just it's right now really hard to get past all of these completely unbelievable instances.

most of the really tumblr-esque characters aren't portrayed in a sympathetic light
the blacks probably get treated with the softest touch but even then the characters are routinely shown to be more selfish than truly principled. every time they take a stand for justice there's always an angle where they end up only really caring about shit that makes them personally feel better
