It's upsetting really. The trailers looked amazing and The Pilot gave me high hopes. I wasn't expecting much of Smile or Thin Ice, but Knock Knock really disappointed me, Oxygen was pretty good, but the monk trilogy hasn't thrilled me. I liked this ep. Nothing crazy, but it wasn't all that bad. Nice pacing, good banter, developed side characters, nice atmosphere, proper villain, not too predictable, not a beeline for the resolution but rather like 4 different plans being attempted. It was comfy, it was somewhat new, not trying to be something it wasn't. I would so, so happily exchange Pyramid and Lie for two episodes like this.
