The flash gets more and more complicated as time goes on because of the time travelling. For example the night Barry Allens mother dies theres several Barry Allens.

1. Child Barry
2. The Flash from 2024 (future) This one comes from a time when his mother is still alive and I think stops existing when she dies. This one needs Nora Allen in order to exist. The one fighting Reverse-Flash
3. The Flash from 2016 (present) Basically comes and watches his mother die holds her hand in the end. This one vanishes when flashpoint is created and probably comes back when flashpoint is reversed.
4. The Flash from late 2016 comes back saves his mother creates flashpoint.
5. The Flash 3 months after #4. to fix flashpoint because of how fucked up the timeline got from saving his mother.
4 and 5 are basically the same one so perhaps those dont count towards the barry multiplier.

Also not to mention Eobard Thawne (reverse-flash) existing in 2016 when he was erased from existence in 2015 by eddie thawne killing himself.

On top of all of that Savitar is one of those Barrys. The whole thing is like a back to the future or a terminator except 10x more complicated than it needs to be. The only thing I like about it is Eobard Thawne playing a part because hes a smug prick of a villain you have to love.
