Nope. Both Aliens and Terminator 2 have way different tone than first movies in the franchise. Alien and Terminator are both essentially survival horror. In sequels overall theme is now there is chance to fight back. That is without sexual themes of Alien.

That being said, both are amongst the best sequels ever.
