I believe it was in the 90s but Trump pushed for a group of black teens to be executed for the crime of raping a white women in central park. It was very strange for Trump to have this attitude that came out of nowhere. When the incident was resolved and we all found out the teens did not in fact do it. Trump never said a word again, never apologized either.
