It really is. I mean, it might be the best DC flick in years but that doesn't make the movie actually good.

Neither Marvel nor DC have yet produced a significant memorable movie.

Even within the genre the best comic book movies are Sin City (if only for the graphic style), Watchmen (characters and themes) and V for Vendetta. While not masterpieces this movies have a place other than forgettable blockbusters.

Meanwhile DC and Marvel are just extreme budget series that repeat the same formula over and over. Completely forgettable.

A good movie and a popular movie are 2 different things.
