If mainstream media is devolving into nothing more than rehashing preexisting intellectual property (TV/ Film) and "counter" culture is nothing more than ironic metacommentary about mainstream culture (internet culture), what possible next step can there be?

When there's nothing new or original being said, how can there be a culture?

There can't. All according to plan

Sooner or later we'll loop back around and get original content and sincerity again, maybe once Gen Z gets sick of the current state of affairs.

Stop consuming pleb trash and then crying that anything more is pretentious

This is why I only watch infomercials and the Korean news ( I don't speak Korean).

I think about this and then I think about other realms like artists, writers, philosophers, etc. There are no great works being created anymore, I can't help but think this means we are in an age of decline and that means what comes next won't be pretty.

>>83652555
Already over, now we're left diddling thumbs for postpostpostmodern
>>

>devolving
Wrong!
You're just only now waking up to the fact that it's been happening since the dawn of man...
>>

>no great works being created anymore

Said every generation ever.

And then the next generation praises the works of the previous generation, but says the exact same thing.
>>
ain't no jew going to risk it, one fucking failure on some whitey's weird ass idea and ur fellow jews will shit on you

then you rehash shit to minimize the risks for you films, but at the same maximize the risks for whole industry failing in the future

in 10 years every fucking 80 IQ bugman can predict a films story 3 days ahead, them the niggas say i aint watching this shit! i make my OWN SHIT!

then we kill all of them, the fucking nosey mcdowalls

Creative story-telling died with The Bible.

Prove me wrong.

well the problem here is that great works tend to come about in insulated communities. plenty of books, films, music, and art considered the "best" by contemporary critics tended to come about in small subcultures and didnt become well known until decades after they were released. we thought the internet would change that but it seems that truly creative people tend to shut themselves off from normies however they can, be it a drug scene or some semi-deep web forum that cant be googled cus of robots.txt or sumfin. its all the same when you look at it.
