Honestly, making a film that does what is good about a book justice, is so fucking difficult and rare, that I don't even know why we watch films. We should just read the books in the first place. It's like film is a heavily abridged, cliffs notes version of a story for people who can't read and have no visual imaginations.

Honestly, Don Quixote is one of my favorite books, and there's a whole lot of wacky shit in it that would be perfect for Gilliams's artistic style. From what it sounds like, though, isn't it supposed to be one of those "modern dude gets stuck in a historical setting" kind of movies?
