It's like Tarantino took every schlocky aspect of a WWII movie and did the exact opposite. But let's not think about how this movie portrays Germans as the victims and allies/jews as the bad guys, that would challenge our spoonfed worldviews.

Even then it's more complex, as Shosanna was definitely a tragic hero and Hans Landa was absolutely a lovable villain.

Even if it's a little full of itself, the movie is pretty kino.
