How the fuck is this stupid short about people in shitty rabbit costumes saying stupid shit via stilted, badly done voice over somehow legitimately unsettling?
they're all dead and in hell. The whole movie is a conversation but out of order.
because it reminded you of every sitcom you've ever seen/enjoyed
true horror lies in the uncanny. chew on that.

We are stupid people in shitty costumes shitposting in barely understandable language in actuality.
Looking into the abyss is unsettling.
(1) Lighting is everything
(2) You the audience cannot get a "read" on the character faces or body language, and therefore you the audience cannot project yourself onto any character or engage emotionally, and yet the soundtrack is nevertheless filled with canned, so-called emotional cues for this forbidding faceless template.

I think Lynch is the only director whose work has ever truly made me feel unsettled/uncomfortable. I'm getting Eraserhead vibes off of this.

The best kind of creepy is intangible. The minute you understand why the minute you've lost its effect
I hope I never actually fully understand the dream sequence in Twin Peaks

Can't answer your question but I want to say: I thought I hated sitcoms but I really enjoyed Rabbits. Only time I've ever laughed at a sitcom BTW.

The rabbits all move, react and interact slowly, which instinctively your mind associates with weakness, illness and death.

There's actually a coherent storyline here if you find out what lines are supposed to go after which.
>DUDE WERE ARE ALL JUST SOULESS BREEDING RABITS OMG SO DEEP
The lighting of the room makes it look very ominous and there's something inherently kinda creepy about masked people.

Wrong, but you are about as smart as a rabbit so there's that
When the rabbit came in with the voice and the fire or whatever I legitimately got deep chills. Really freaked me out.

I can't imagine that's true, got an interpretation guide I could see?

It ties into both Inland Empire (obviosuly) but also Twin Peaks season 3 (there was a man in a green suit) (Dougie Jones). If it were too coherent it would kill it IMO, but yeah it's semi coherrent. The rabbits exist on a very deep primal existential plane.
