This desu. Book Jorah is just Pedobear who, sometimes, says things that are quite right. TV Jorah is a good guy that says the right thing and gives good, honest counsel to Daenerys, that she ignores because of "muh dragons". There is also the fact that the TV version is at first subtly written so that he is a good man who has done bad things and is trying to atone for them (ie selling slaves just to believe in love at first sight). The book just makes him meaner and more entitled to further add to Ser Friendzone. He doesn't even want to apologise for nearly getting Dany's kid killed in the book because of his stubborn pride, whereas in the show he is genuinely remorseful.
