Here's my take on synthehol. It doesn't actually get you drunk, it just makes your brain feel like you're drunk. Let's say you down a bottle of vodka. You'll be fucked up for hours and have a killer hangover the next day. Now say you chug a bottle of synthehol vodka. It sends a signal to your brain, telling it that you're drunk. If you get up to walk, you're probably wobbly. You feel light-headed and a bit disoriented. But not nearly as much as if you'd actually drank that much real alcohol. And the effect lasts for an hour or two, instead of all night. And when it wears off, you feel fine, because you weren't really drunk, your brain just thought you were.
