We want real monkeys, the kind that could rip a grown man's face off if it got mad, not these tiny monklets they're putting in all the movies these days.
>Thunderbirds (2003).
An autistic misunderstanding of the appeal of the original 60s puppet show directed by Commander Fucking Riker.
Kids hated it, they didn't want to see children taking over, they wanted Scott, Virgil etc. as usual. Its a family group ordered around by the father anyway, its already easy for kids identify with. Its a fantasy of power and being able to go out and do dangerous things, not being told to go and do your homework.
Trying to 'kidify' things always fails and I've never understood adults who don't remember being annoyed by this when it was their turn.
Still Sophia Myles was good at Lady Penelope:

Also, Thunderbirds Are Go (the new CGI version) is surprisingly kino-esque and the episode with Lady Penelope and her Aunt (Sylvia Anderson) is pretty special. Retro 60's hand shots etc.
I love Gerry Anderson stuff.

What is up with Vanessa Hudgens' photoshop job in this poster?

No idea. Actually watching that Youtube I did notice one interesting thing about Frakes as a director. In the scene where Lady Penelope is locked in an ice locker, she has rather prominent nipples.
Interesting choice of moment to demonstrate a commitment to realism.
