I can't believe the President is a literal cuck. He and his Wife have directly murdered people and ordered the deaths of several more. I can't believe they had their Bull living with them in the White House. I can't believe they discuss murder openly. I can't believe a lifelong Republican political consultant would switch sides like that. I can't believe Conway would unravel like that. I can't believe Tom Dumbasshit can't put together a coherent story. I can't believe a woman with no experience was made her husband's running mate. I can't believe the Secretary of State ended up in a Coma by falling 5 steps. I can't believe a guy who roleplayed as Frank's grandfather got assfucked and told the President he loves him in public. I can't believe a single NSA hacker was able to expertly hack the election and create fake intelligence. I can't believe none of the secret service leak anything. I can't believe Claire confessed her husband's murders to their Bull. I can't believe Frank after working for this his whole life willingly created the circumstances to his destruction. I can't believe they trusted Jane Davis after knowing her for a few months at MOST.

Most of all, I can't believe I watched this shit for 5 years

because Netflix doesn't know how and when to end their shows.

House of Cards should have ended this season (I'd say it should have ended with 2 seasons, but them giving up Kevin Spacey so quickly is unrealistice).
the Kyle Chandler show should have ended after 1 season
Narcos should have ended after 2 seasons (because PABLO 'THE WHOLE POINT OF THE SHOW' ESCOBAR IS DEAD, what the fuck are you even going to do for Season 3?)
they're even talking about renewing The Fall for another season when the fucking serial killer who was the focus of the whole show is dead. like for what purpose?

even the shows that do need additional seasons always have shitty last minute cliffhangers.
>>
>>83457133
it seems like they're becoming aware of it and are not afraid to cancel stuff now (sense8, the get down, marco polo etc.)

also netflix has nothing to do with the fall, that's a british show that netlfix just buys the US broadcast rights to and calls it an "original"
>>
>>83456258

The climb to the top is far more interesting than staying on top?
>>
>>83457133
It's not like the show is called pablo, it's called narcos.
>>
I thought it would never get as bad as season 3 ... I stand corrected... I turned it off after he threw the SoS down the stairs

Horrible horrible writing and direction ... also completely boring ... more happened from s01e01 to s01e04 then in the entire first 10 episodes of season 5

This show is redpilled. It shows a Democratic President as a murderous idiotic scheming cuckold and murderer. Democrats are portrayed as crooked false-flagging election stealing frauds.

Redpilled.

>tfw no more Frank eating ribs and rapping his knuckles as he plots to take down the people that fucked him over with Claire in a supporting roll as confidant and wing man, mostly sticking to her charity shit

Literally now "Move over silly bois: The Show" with Frank being dumb as fuck and throwing away everything he's spent the last 4 years explaining to us was the most important thing to him in the world. Madame President the super intelligent usurper takes orders from, and starts wars for, a woman that walked into her life a month ago.
>>
>>83457435
I thought that scene where he throws Cathy down the stairs must have been some kind of dream sequence. But then the plot line continues after the title credits and it's never really mentioned or properly acknowledged again. Fucking terrible.

I'm 3 episodes into the newest season and its been incredibly boring. Does this season get better?
>>

A lot of their shows move very quickly in the first 2 seasons, then they begin to drag shit down to snail pace once something becomes very popular.
>>
>>83457133
House of Cards was the only Netflix original that had moments of writing brilliance, specifically the first an second seasons. Keep in mind that it was also the first Netflix original series, so it had to be good in order to justify the company's transition from showing other people's TV shows to showing their own TV shows. Then they started pumping out other, inferior shows, but people watched them anyway because it had the Netflix Original "Seal of Approval," if you could call it that. I think they realized that they didn't have to try very hard because people will watch anything in their suggestions feed, so that's when the writing started to go downhill.

yeah in Season 1 Frank fucking hated the private sector, he said it wasn't real power like the Presidency

why did she want sum fuk from him out of nowhere? did she think he'd protect her?

How FUCKING STUPID was LeAnn? She knows her old buddy hacker was probably murdered and she STILL gives up the only thing protecting her and then goes to a remote location away from people

Also that hacker was retarded, why didn't he have a Leak Release only in the event of his death? that is what smart leakers do to make their life worth more than their death
>>
>>83461902
Thats even lower than a cuck. Also why the fuck did they had to make Frank half a fag, having that creep suck his dick and shit, fucking progressive hacks
>>
>>83461394
I think Narcos is probably the best show that Netflix has tbf, but like HoC (for its good seasons) it also has a source (Goodfellas/Casino except with the Columbian Drug War) that it apes hard.

Not sure that they have an actually original show that rivals AMC's or HBO's output (their better shows, that is). Stranger Things is probably the closest.
>>
>>83462057
First 2 seasons of Bloodline are incredible imo. The new one kind of feels like they're having to cut down 2 seasons into one because Netflix canceled it.
>>
>>83462149
I loved the first season of Bloodline but hated the second, I still haven't finished it. It was so boring, and it seemed like half the drama (as far as I watched) was caused by Kevin being a gigantic retard. It almost seemed like the show would improve drastically if John just put him out of his misery.
>>
>>83461942
>why did she want sum fuk from him out of nowhere? did she think he'd protect her?

They had some subtle hints of sexual tension all throughout the season, Also, she probably literally just needed sum fuk considering the stress.

One thing I really didn't understand is why she didn't just floor it in her Porche as soon as she saw the SUV coming instead of grabbing the gun.

Oh well, she's probably not dead anyway.
>>
>>83462149
i like liked bloodline at first but they killed off danny way too early and utterly wasted ben mendelsohn. kevin was such an insufferable character to watch and john fixes everything plot armor got really old.

>>
>>83457133
Mothafucker is right. Narcos could have easily filled the True detective niche in many ways.
While not as good, it nevertheless checks plenty of boxes
criminality/drugs, undercover shit, exotic setting, manhunt, wide diverse cast, two detectives figuring shit out, highly unusual case becoming a burden and filling the detectives lives, special period piece etc...

Narcos would have been AMAZING as an anthology. Each season with a new legendary drug dealer in a specific period/history based on a real case provides nearly limitless potential while keeping each season dense in action.

S02 was filler as fuck and now we're going to have a s03 based on the boring cali cartel.

In my hypothetical scenario, they could have made a season about the opium trade in the 1800s, frank Lucas in 70s nyw, post ww2 corsican connection story in france..

But the dumb fucks choose to do the one boring spanish speaking cartel after another strategy.
>>
I never thought i'd miss zoe barnes so much. This show become the Tom Hammerschmidt show and end next season with Tom figuring everything out and proving it.
>>
Made it to ep5 before I gave up. When Frank's just sitting and watching his wife sleep with another man is when I'd had enough.

Does his emasculation lead anywhere? Like does he snap and kill the writer? Or is he really just happy with being a literal cuck.
>>
Im not even bothering with this latest season after everything I've heard about this shitshow thanks to Robin Wrights gurl power fantasy retconning and going against every single fucking motivating factor behind the main characters like Frank's goal in life to become president. She's made every part of this show do a complete 180 after it was already nearly fallen off completely in quality after Season 3.

Now its an absolute fucking mess. Someone get David Fincher back, PLEASE.

You guys are acting like children. Just because the show doesn't go the way you want it it doesn't mean it's necessarily bad. I hated season 3 because the whole "hurrr durrr muh gurl power" thing was uncalled for, but it really made sense for Frank to end up choosing the private sector. I mean, come on. There's a reason we spent two seasons watching his presidency take hit after hit. After a while it was obvious the presidency had to go to Claire in order to keep the power on Frank's side. I really think this season was kino, at least until the fucking ending. The cinematography wasn't great but whether you like to admit it or not, the writing was very interesting with tons of arcs going separately at the same time and entangling near the end. I was on the edge of my seat all the time, all the way until the fucking ending. I don't mind the president being a cuck. You have to accept it, it's a common issue in our time. Cuckoldry, I mean. Luckily our presidents only get cucked by your friend and neighbor, the private sector. Deal with it, faggots. It could have been worse: Tom Yates could have been a fucking nigger. What's worse, a nigger who writes. Wtf is up with that? I want to make something very clear, though: The ending makes no sense. Why the shit would Claire trust Jane Davis more than Frank? And why the fucking hell wouldn't she pardon him? To me, that's the only thing that didn't make sense in this season. Almost every other complain you anons have is about your shitty expectations, political opinions and sexual insecurities. Of course most garbage today comes with a free message from the Jews, but this is a self aware enough show, treat it as such and enjoy it or waste your time watching stuff you hate like you always do.

And give me a link to the Twin Peaks episode 5 leak I'm fucking tired of waiting.
>>
>>83456258
The show sucked after season 1. I only still watch because of Kevin Spacey's acting, I enjoy his intensity in the show. Besides that, it's a flop. Thank Robin Wright for that.

the election plot made no sense to me. But they made it worse by hiding who won the house, who won the senate, and then acting like each state had one vote in the house when the 1824 each state had votes equal to the number of seats in the house.
Claire only gets in because "Maine owes me [LeAnn] a favor" and then Republicans just say, "Wow, Maine, didn't see that one coming" :^)

And then they're like "oh no we're gonna do a 2nd vote in Tennessee and Ohio, but apparently Tennessee no longer counts," even though I could've sworn Conway said he only needed to win one or the other to have 270, while Frank needed to win both

BUT THEN they're like "Oh yeah we're gonna have a secret bilderberg meeting inna woods where the two candidates will court the rich cabals that will somehow rig the election to whoever impresses them the most. But LOL NONE OF THAT ACTUALLY MATTERS, here's a recording of Conway yelling at his pilots. It's just deus ex machina after deus ex machina.

the show has been like this since episode 1

Is Narcos s3 confirmed even about Colombia? (I like the anthology idea; follow some Mexican drug kingpin or whatever)
>>
I mean it dropped in writing quality, yes but everything else is still excellent in my opinion. For example the acting is stone cold on point and perfect, the lighting, the sets, the costumes, the editing it's all fucking insane. So as far as I see it even with the very mediocre writing, the budget and production value still makes this show very watchable. It's lost its thrill and underlying wit but it's quite comfy to watch with its pace and character interactions. Boring might fit as a description, but it's boring on a high level.
>>
Honestly didn't hate the season most of the time I was watching it, but the ending was so fucking stupid. How exactly is she going to cold shoulder frank? Murder him? Thats literally the only option where he doesn't torch everything. Absolute nonsense. Lot of things could be argued but I don't really disagree if Frank changed his mind to private being the real power, as its frankly true IRL. But with his wife as prez he could get crazy shit done on an unfathomnable level.
>>
>>83456749
>I can't believe the President is a literal cuck.

>>
>>83470544
I'd probably blame the writing more than anything else, it's not really the actors fault but after 5 seasons why does it feel like Frank, Claire and Cathy were written by someone that hand only read the synopsis? Doug was the only long term character that still seemed to "fit" and the new characters just seemed to come out of nowhere. Frank had been president for what, 2 years at this point? And all of a sudden there's a magical mystery woman that knows everyone in the fucking world and is sketchy as fuck. I'm rambling but the writing was seriously fucking atrocious this season.

The satire and parody was all over the fucking place in this season. They couldn't decide which characters were mimicking which real life politicians. So they seemed to take a pic'n'mix approach. >either drag out too fucking long for money that even OG showrunner left or cancel too soon because muh rating isn't high enough

that's american television in a nutshell. Netflix is like 100x worse since they never know when to actually quit a show and move the fuck on.

Plus the usual things like "Not my President" being slammed in there and a woman taking power while the man is a fucking retard the entire time

Seriously, Frank going to talk to Walker before the testimony made about as much sense as Frank suddenly deciding back in the woods to resign for Claire to take power or bringing back reenactment actor man to be a very trusted character to give one gay scene with Frank to.

How do they forget that Frank only really trusts Doug and the Agent who died for Frank last season?
>>
This season looked like you could just walk into the White House and get a job in the Underwood administration.

I thought about picking the show up again but after what Ive read there is no way
How the fuck is Claire still around? She was a fucking problem in Season 1 when she straight up betrays Frank over a stupid fucking charity and then fucks some photo guy for like a week
She did nothing useful from the beginning and betrayed him very early on
Also isnt half her character supposed to be she has more of a heart than Frank
She has had lord knows how many aborted arcs that have led nowhere and has never helped Frank sincerely once

>You don't think that the deep divisions in society are even partly to blame? You're quite happy with the way things are?
> Indeed, I am not. There is a deep division in society today, between those who want to work and enjoy the fruits of their labours and abide by and uphold the laws of the land, and an increasing number of what it has become fashionable to call the disaffected, the disadvantaged, the differently-motivated — what we used to call lazy people, dishonest people, people who don't want to take responsibility for their actions or their lives.
> So you don't feel inclined to do anything about the situation?
> On the contrary. I decided that the time has come to take quite drastic action. We're going to bring back National Service as the first step in a large-scale programme of public works. We're going to get our young people — all our young people — off their backsides. We're going to put a large investment into Britain's future. And we're damned well going to get our money's worth. I have a great belief in Britain, you know. We are not a nation of social workers, or clients of social workers. We are not, please God, a nation of deserving cases. We are a fierce, proud nation, and we are still, God willing, a nation to be reckoned with!

The surveillance shit in the final 3 episodes was so fucking contrived. There's no way a guy like Frank wouldn't already be usually such measures if they were available to him. Unlike most or all of you, I actually like Robin Wright's character, I mean I really used to, but I really can't deny that they're only ruining her character in particular and the show in general with all the retarded plot decisions. They watered down the resolutions of all the major plotlines of the previous seasons (what the fuck was Yates for, what the fuck was terrorism for and about, what the fuck was the NSA guy for, why do they have this bullshit hammerschmidt thing that resulted in frank saying haha dats me). All the fresh things they introduced weren't smart or interesting either. I mean, the show's watchable and they can shit out dozens of seasons like this one but the show's just just not keeping you at the edge of the seat

"Clyde Donovan, new student body president. Do I like him? No. Do I believe in him? What the fuck do you think? Er, but that's beside the point. Any kid that can convince the fifth-graders to vote for him has done something few can. That, or he just showed them a picture of his dead mom's tits. But nevertheless, look at that winning smile, those trusting eyes. Ugh. Yeah, I hate them, too. Makes me sick. But apparently, these simple-minded sheep eat it all up. Anyway, I helped him win. Bribing kindergartners and stuffing ballot boxes; all that shit. And so, here we are.

"There's Token, that black asshole, and his bitch. Because he's rich, he was put in charge of the bookkeeping. And because he's black, he was put in charge of providing bass guitar music during the campaign. Now, personally, I hate Token. I hate Token so much. In fact, just last week—

"Anyway, Clyde may be president now, but that's only a title. You see, it's not who has the title but who wields the power in that title. And when it is all said and done, it'll be me, Eric Theodore Cartman, running the school with Clyde as my bitch.

"Welcome to South Park."

>>83456749
All of this sums up my feelings on the show.

Jane Davis fucking pisses me off. Are you shitting me? They ask why does she have the clearance? No answer.

Why would Claire trust her? Why would anyone believe in Claire? Francis has been doing this for 30 years. All Claire has done is contribute advice, fuck him, cry, cuck him and emotionally support him.

How would a husband and wife be on the same ticket? In fact, that's actually a WASTE.

The First Lady has a lot of influence, her own staff, her own projects etc. By combining both that and the Vice-President's Office they actually have LESS power than if a trusted player was VP.

Holy shit.

So Frank is still being pursued off the Zoe kill, and Claire cums on a man's cock while murdering him and trusts a man they met a few months ago who was working for their ENEMY and is still affiliated with the other party to "clean it up"?

They also wrote Conway to be a punk all of a sudden, instead of the cunning sociopathic JFK/Eisenhower mash up he was before.

Then Frank gambles EVERYTHING by pushing the fucking Secretary of State down the stairs

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Your wing there. The show was always about the Underwoods, but somewhere in season two the word decided to arbitrarily introduce conflict in the marriage for cheap drama.

House of cards was always at its best when it was about to utterly amoral individuals in a true partnership.
>>
The WORST thing about this season is that terrible character Jane Davis.
She appears in the middle of season 5, just up and appears with very little introduction, we've never even heard of this woman before, and suddenly she has the Underwoods trust and is advising them left and right on everything.
To top it off, she happens to be some big time deep-state spymaster who works for something bigger than the US Government and the Underwoods are totally fine with this and not unnerved in the slightest. It was such a massive tonal departure for this edgy and perfect character to suddenly just walk into Season 5 and every scene I saw her in made me confused and a little bit sad that the show I've loved for years is throwing in ex-machina characters ad-hoc.

Am I alone in utterly hating Jane Davis???

they deal with Frank's apparent bisexuality in a very annoying, limp-wristed way that they might as well not allude to it at all. five seasons and numerous head nods to Tim Corbet, drawing turkey hands with Meechum, Yates trying to seduce him, and now the personal trainer/reenactor...all just nipped in the bud with no follow-through. maybe they're waiting for the last season to wrap that part of Frank up.
>>
The season was great, it turned shit after the election.

The tension about the election was epic afther that it went shit.
Nothing is making any sense now.

Claire is always in an another different mood. In one season she is a heartless bitch (destroying her lover the photographer because he jeopardized franks career, in one season she is crying and bitching for everything (muh random faggot died at Putins prison so I ruin the relationship of the us and russia) and leaving francis for her lover. Now on this season she is a heartless bitch again and she kills her lover. lol

If we are talking about him Tom was fucking useless. What was the reason for him to be there? Complete waste of time. I thought he is the leaker in that case his presence would be justified, but something like this doesn't even make sense.

Francis did everything for 4 reason to become the president, now he is resigning and he was the leak. Whaat?

Connway was fucking awesome, a literal Chad with a hot wife, and they make him crazy when the plot didn't need him anymore and they threw him away like a dirty toilet paper.

because ever since S3, whenever one of Frank's antagonists has him in a corner, they just give them a sudden case of the retardeds to get Frank out of it. they did the same thing with Dunbar and Petrov last season.

The ONLY way to save the show.

Bring her back :3

Here is what the writers had to say about Claire and Tom
> It was heavily debated. Part of what we were grappling with is how is Claire really Frank’s equal? On a certain level, she’s not his equal until her hands are as dirty as his. Until she can prove that she’s willing to stop at nothing to get what she wants. Claire’s ambition is a major theme this season, so, of course, it had to be justified. It was actually really painful. It was painful to write and shoot. [Tom] is a beloved character. And I believe that a real depth and love had developed in that relationship. It was the highest price she had to pay.
>>
>>83493937
that's not rachel
>>
>>83493941
>[Tom] is a beloved character. And I believe that a real depth and love had developed in that relationship.
How do these fucking writers have jobs? Some goons from /tv/ could put a better script together
>>
>>83493959
undead rachel? sure, might as well at this point.
>>
>>83473980

How about the fact that the entire election was rigged?
>>
>>83494022
i'd be satisfied with some flashbacks
or tom finds a 100% lookalike
>>
>>83493941
>[Tom] is a beloved character
Fucking hacks
>>
I honestly thought this season would be great since S4 was better than 3. It started off good, but around the half way line it started to deteriorate again.
>>
>>83494046
Wouldnt that be more in line with what Trump said during the campaign?
He often hinted at political insiders rigging the election in their favor from the White House or the government
If Petrov and Frank came to a deal to rig the election using hacking that would be a dig at Trump
>>
>>83494172
Nah, the original showunners left after S4
>>
>>83494176
They literally hacked the election.
>>
>>83494176

The Democrats definitely fucked Sanders over. But honestly the way Francis was going about doing whatever it took to make sure Conway didn't win, and just how unpopular it made him with the public, I saw the parallels between him and Trump a lot more.
>>
>>83494337

And especially since Trump has been accused of hacking the election (with RUssian help) since day 0, although no one can actually prove it.
>>
>>83456258
>fucking loved S1
>started watching S2 but got burned out and forgot about it
>seems like the entire series went to shit in the meantime
Fuck. Should I just watch the British version and forget about it?
>>
>>83494417
S1, S2 and S4 are good, the rest is shit
Up to you
>>
>>83493941
you know, it really says something when The Legend of fucking Korra handled sacrificing a loved one for ambition better than this show. they just made Claire looked like a weird psychopath by poisoning Tom (and then still fucking his corpse) rather than showing her making any kind of sacrifice.
>>
>>83494337
I guess I just dont see it because the obvious Clinton parallels have just been in my mind for so long with the show
But it would be so beyond stupid to try to make Frank into Trump, they arent alike at all besides being men
>>
Claire was weakest part but I still liked the season, it felt even darker and more sinister
>>
>>83493941
Her killing Tom made no sense other than as a rite of passage for Claire for a writing team that have fetishised her character. He was out of the picture and was never going to publish the book that would have destroyed the woman he loved. Episodes 12 and 13 were such fucking nonsense. Tom is one of the worst characters I've ever encounter across any show. He slowed down literally every episode he featured in. I'm not one of those people that's on their phone when they watch a movie or a series but I found myself fiddling with my phone when Tom and Claire scenes were on. It was like my brain was unconsciously willing me to stop watching that shit. If this show is even going to have a chance of being redeemed then the writing team are going to have to fucking appreciate that people started watching this show for Kevin Spacey as Frank. Stop propping up Claire as Frank 2.0. She's a fucking obnoxious and uninteresting character.
>>
>>83494417
Even after the disappointments of s3 and s5 and how stupid its all getting, I'm still going to watch them wrap up the story. The show's productions are still really sleek.
>>
>>83494532
Well its especially frustrating where Frank 1.0 is almost a complete failure at this point so who even cares about 2.0
The Russian guy makes sense as a Frank counterpart and a worthy adversary, coming from a country where what Frank did to come to power is just a regular tuesday in their politics
In fact Frank becoming more and more close to a Putin like regime would be very interesting
But no lets have the dumb wife character be his equal when no one gave a shit about her
If you needed betrayal from someone on the inside make it Doug, they guy who already knows his tactics
All of this ignores too that with all the events that had happened in American politics due to the Underwoods stability would be crazy low
>>
>Not even Doug is safe from the Underwoods
W-why bros? All he wants is to make Frank happy
>>
>>83494693
isn't that what he's doing right now? being the fall guy for franky?
>>
>>83494693
He was completely on board with that
>>
I just finished watching. This show now officially ends at Season 2 for me. Holy shit this shit was retarded. I liked the whole rigging of the election. That was it. Fuck these idiotic characters and Claire can fuck off.
>>
>>83494686
Would make more sense if they cut all the impeachment bs after the election, never hired that old hag and just focused on the "we make the terror" theme while destroying democratic institutions, opponents, and waging a war etc to justify it
>>
>>83494617
there was a drop in quality this season
>>
>>83494686
S3 was when they needed to take the show onto the world's stage and pit Frank against other world leaders that had all come to power just like him. Instead they increased the emphasis on Claire. Such a shit decision. Now we're rehashing Frank vs Claire. So uninspiring.
>>
>>83494760
>>83494780
He was clearly disappointed but did it out of dedication to Frank
Franknigger is now out of loyal allies
>>
>>83456749
>president is a literal cuck
Did you forget the whole first season where he was fucking a 23 year old? If he's a cuck, she's a cuckqueen
>>
>>83494532
>Episodes 12 and 13 were such fucking nonsense

I'll give you two guesses on who the director was for the final two episodes was.
>>
>>83494955
fincher?
>>
>>83494864
At the very least if they wanted deep state shit they should have the character be like the CIA director from Nixon
It would make sense a CIA guy had been behind the scenes and could appear with a lot of power connections when he feels like it
Also something creepily off should exist in such a character
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWRVyaKnGcA
>>
>>83489104
I like the idea of a deep-state diplomat. I don't mind her being a homely grandma type character. I hate how she was introduced. I hate how she trusts claire for no reason and i hate how claire trusts her for no reason.
>>
why was Claire upset about Frank and Tim's college relationship?
>>
"Don't cheat on my wife, Tom."

That singular sentence made me go "wut" more than anything i've ever seen in house of cards. Fuck me, as bad as the show got in Season three and four there was at least still good writing, now in Season 5 it doesn't even have that anymore.

The only thing still good about this fucking show is Kevin Spacey's elder god-tier acting that can make even the shitty dialogue they've written for him somehow work.

I wonder wtf Kevin spacey's thinking, he's rich, insanely popular and doesn't need to put up with any of this shit like Robin Wrights power Trips if he doesn't have to. I seriously don't understand why the fuck he's still in the show unless he genuinely thinks this is all A-Ok.
>>
>>83494955
She wasn't writing them tho, it's the writing that made them garbage, not directing per se
>>
>>83487199
He probably researched some technology for drilling through ice. Drilling though ice is really hard, by the way, because ice drifts.
>>
>>83495006
I think they were showing signs of Claire desiring Frank or being jealous that he doesn't seem to feel much for her romantically. You know, the scenes where she seems to push Tom away alot in the start or leaves Tom to go cuddle/chill with Frank.

I thought the Tim jealousy was playing into that as well, but then she suddenly fell 100% in love with Tom 10 episodes in so I don't fucking know anymore.
>>
>>83494973
Wrong.
>>83495011
It's obvious that she fucking around with it for herself. She's an EP, Director and """main"""" character
>>
>>83495009
>I seriously don't understand why the fuck he's still in the show
Probably gives him brownie points and he probably doesn't want to potentially ruin his career by ticking off the easily rattled feminists who have a strangle hold on television and film.

Contracts and industry pressure.

Even for popular actors, being known to walk away from something that hasn't "finished" can be damaging.
>>
>>83495009
and that's why you're just another guy rambling on an imageboard and not kevin spacey
>>
>>83495081
You might be right, but we don't know for sure how much input she has. What I know, is that she was whining like a bitch about muh glass ceiling and muh equal pay very recently, enough for me to dislike her. Why the hell does she expect to get paid as much as Kevin Spacey?

how about when they set up conway's military heroics being fraudulent, but then never doing anything with it
how about when we literally never see or hear about the conway's after episode 8 or whatever
>>
>>83494975
Well, sorry, I'm afraid they're not even gonna namedrop US government positions anymore, it's all about Jane Davis and Claire's sis-mance. Oh, and buttmad Frank who gets fucked over by Claire again and again because she was the smartest one in their relationship all along!
>>
>>83495160

How bad is this season so far?

I stuck with it the past 4. I thought 3 was pretty obnoxious but 4 kinda made it up.

But after watching the trailer for season 5 I seriously cringed so hard at the "One nation Underwood" line. Like that was waay too fuckin corny for me, and really killed any interest in me wanting to check out this current season
>>
>>83495318
first half until election is nice then it's shit

plus this >>>>>83494532
is why I'm glad I dropped this garbage after s3.
>>
>>83495318
It drags the fuck on with horribly slow """""character development"""""" and has been largely unsatisfying since episode 3. I'm in the middle of episode 7 now and am just watching to get to the end but it's frustrating how tedious and nonsensical it is now
>>
>>83494371
>no one can actually prove it.
Even the NY Times admits that "there is no evidence"
>>
>>83495318
there's not a whole lot of actual plot this season after a certain point tbf, just a cacophony of random shit happening. a bunch of filler and repetitive scenes with Tom and Claire, and Frank and Claire are characterized in a wildly inconsistent way throughout.

it's almost like all the writers were given a rough outline for the season, then wrote their own episodes with no communication between them at all.
>>
>>83495616
It seemed to be kinda coherent at the start with the election and shit, apart from characters not being themselves, but after the whole Elysian fields bit it all went to shit.
>>
This entire season felt like a waste of time. If anything, I'll be more careful with what I waste 13 hours of my life with for now on. Thanks House of Cards
>>
Fuck this gay earth. EVERY FUCKING SEASON Claire tries to fucking sabotage Frank, when does it fucking end. Also, if the writers want to prop up Claire as Frank's equal, then why the fuck do they make her fail everything she does.

Every. Fucking. Oppertunity she's been handed this show she's fucked up, if they wanted her to appear hyper competant why do they keep letting her fail?

Fuck this show.
>>
Why the fuck do they need some kind of digusting faggot scene in every season? Is it Spacey's doing?
>>
>>83495847

With Meechum I thought it made sense, just another way of getting power over him.

With Augustus Gloop it made no sense, maybe he was looking for something because he was jealous of Tom and Claire?
>>
>>83495739

I dropped in season 4 because it was becoming the Robin Wright show.
