Actual talk shows where they discuss real problems turn into whatever the fuck they are showing now.

How can someone sit down and explain to a producer that a two-sentence blurb about the history of a used oil can found in the trash pile of some interstate redneck's Fun Shack is historical? Do these people honestly believe the "history" we're learning from American Pickers or Pawn Stars is genuine?

And the thing that hurts the most, I think, is the only "documentaries" we get aside from Pawn Stars and American Pickers is Ancient Aliens, which is a show of misinformation and wild tinfoil conspiracy where any fascinating historical information is washed away by, "Nah, aliens did it."
