That episode was shit. But overall this season was an improvement.

The issue with all of the CW shows is that they must have a certain amount of (forced) romance/drama. So we are stuck with that moment in every episode where two of the characters sit down, the mood music changes, and they have some stupid conversation.

Supergirl is the worst. But I like Win and the Mon-el character...and drunk Alex during the holidays.

Smarter writing: as in less on the nose feminist stuff. I know what board I'm on but the show SHOULD have feminist themes, just less on the nose about them. Its like its written by the corniest "funny" white women on twitter. Cat Grant's dialogue is unbearably cringey.

Fight scenes that don't play out like turn based RPGs.

Keep Mon-El: He and Kara have great chemistry.

Add Streaky to the cast. I think it would be cute, which the show should be.

Its cutesy-ness is its strength, so keep going that direction. Don't fuck it up trying to be dark like The Flash did.

This is one of the shows that I can't help but think would be better with me as show runner.

Better over arching villains or just drop the format and go strictly baddie of the week.

For me, the issue is more with the writing for her character. The "black dad" and HG Wells actors blow everyone else out of the water wrt acting imo. And if I had to pick the worst actor it would be the woman who plays Killer Frost.

I don't watch Supergirl live (I watch Gotham). I download the episodes from the CW site the next day. It is nice because I can FF through the "forced drama" parts.

When Alex was having her sexual identity crisis I found myself fast forwarding through A LOT of dialog. It was unbearable.

I like the Kat Grant character. The feminist stuff fits with the character and (to me) doesn't feel forced. It is all the other SJW that makes it difficult for me to watch...but I still watch it.
