Disagree. It would need to be after episode 9 to really leave an impact the same way one of the movies do. I'm sure the executives know this.

I expect 2020, with the first season of the show replacing an anthology movie for that years star wars content. There would probably be another couple years after that before we got another anthology film too. I don't suspect them to milk the series QUITE as hard as marvel. The franchise doesn't really fit that model of content.
