Sure there is some influence, but to say McBride ripped off TPB straight up is a misnomer. There is lots of comedy from the mid 2000's that Eastbound draws from. Shaky cam, raunchy drug related jokes. Alot of comedies were doing that in that late two thousands. An underated time in comedy.
