Because Leo's Afrikaans accent was cringe worthy. Everyone in the theater in South Africa was laughing at him.

So was Leo's accent in this movie actually well done or is it shit and a /tv/ meme? I know nothing about accents. 10/10 movie either way, the scene where Soloman has to convince his son to come back home at gunpoint is probably the closest I have ever been to crying during a movie.
